Hear the Plural Ending
Ask learners to sort by the final sound, not the last written letter. Let them feel voicing with a gentle hand on the throat, without pressing. Contrast the added syllable in classes with books and bags.
Teach it in five minutes
- One minute: play the models without correction. Ask what difference learners notice.
- One minute: complete the three listening questions; elicit the evidence for each answer.
- One minute: reveal the written patterns and practise the target contrast or rhythm.
- Two minutes: use the shadow sentence, then exchange a new sentence with a partner. Let the listener report what they understood.
