When Lina arrived at her hotel, she was tired and wanted a shower. She put her black suitcase on the bed and opened it. Inside, she found a large blue jacket and a pair of running shoes. They were not hers.
At first, she thought someone had taken her bag. Then she looked at the label. It said Daniel Reed. At the airport, she had picked up a suitcase that looked exactly like her own. She felt embarrassed, but the hotel receptionist told her to call the airport before doing anything else.
An airport worker checked the lost luggage desk. Lina’s bag was there. Daniel had noticed the mistake before leaving the airport and had given his phone number to a member of staff.
The worker arranged a meeting at the airport information desk. Lina took a taxi back and exchanged bags with Daniel. Neither person was angry. They were both pleased to get their things back. Before her next trip, Lina tied a bright yellow ribbon to her suitcase. Now it was much easier to recognise.
