I'm patient, and I try to explain things in a practical way. I also ask questions instead of assuming someone has understood.

On a recent shift, a new colleague was unsure how to respond to a passenger's request. We checked the relevant guidance together, then practiced a clear response.

What did you learn from that?

Defne

That giving someone the answer isn't always enough. They need to understand why it works and have a chance to try it.

What would you like to develop further?

Defne

I'd like more experience giving structured feedback. I can be too detailed, so I'm learning to focus on one improvement at a time.
